 4-Way Test Contest & Winners

Middle School students of Fremont had the opportunity to win prizes in a Rotary Club sponsored contest.   Sheryl Meyer and David Byrne, presented information about Rotary, its international involvement and local projects, to middle school students recently. The presentation included a writing contest on the Four Way Test of Rotary.

The “Four Way Test” that each Rotary Club is based on is a series of four questions: Is it the truth?; Is it fair to all concerned?; Will it build goodwill and better friendships?; Is it beneficial to all concerned?

Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students will compete for prizes based on an essay they write that focuses on these Rotary values. Three winning essayists will each win a $20.00 Fun Cash gift certificate from the Fremont Rotary for use at various stores in Fremont. Teachers at the middle school will select the best essays.

The students who participated in the 4-way Test Contest are Jessica Schultz, Vanessa Schultz, Jessica Cooper and Ashley LaMay. Also attending the luncheon were Rena Schultz, Tina Peterson, the Schultz girls aunt and Ashley's mom, Cathy. Carolyn Hummel, Principal of the Middle School and Maureen Fisher, After School Coordinator also joined us.
