Fremont & White Cloud Clubs Team Up
To Provide A Computer Lab for Handicapped Students in India

The Rotary Clubs in Fremont and White Cloud are teaming up with a Rotary Club in Jamnagar, India to create a vocational computer-training center for handicapped students. The project was discovered by former District Governor, Tom Bos, while in India as part of Rotary’s Polio Plus Project, a 500 million dollar project to immunize the children of the world and to eradicate Polio by 2005. The computer center is expected to cost approximately $9,000 and will provide new computers and equipment, Internet access, computer software, installation, and configuration. A representative from the India club, our district governor, and the presidents of Fremont and White Cloud have signed the World Community Service Matching Grant application. We expect to hear from the Rotary Foundation in August.
