Funding Guidelines - Local Projects

Purpose
Rotary Club of Fremont is a service club made of local business people committed to “Service Above Self”.  This commitment is demonstrated in a variety of ways including contributing funds raised by the club to charitable causes that benefit Fremont area residents. Each year the Board of Directors determines how much will be designated for local contributions. Typical contributions range from $100 to $250 for any one group.

Areas of Interest
Projects that benefit Fremont area residents and fulfill the “Service Above Self” commitment will be of highest interest to Rotary Club of Fremont. Eligible projects can be wide ranging within this general area of interest including youth development, health, arts and culture, human services, education, and community development.

Eligibility
Any group or organization is eligible to apply that can demonstrate that the funds will be used to benefit the Fremont community and promote “Service Above Self.”  Proposals made to benefit just one person will not be funded.

Proposal Deadlines
Rotary Club of Fremont will only review completed applications submitted on or before the following deadlines:
   ·   November 1
   ·   May 1

Notification
All applicants will receive notification of funding or denial within 30 days of the deadlines stated above. Fremont Rotary Club’s Fiscal Year begins July 1 with disbursement allocations determined by the Board of Directors at that time. Funds will be disbursed during the July 1 fiscal year.
